Custom Test Engineer

EV.Careers is currently seeking a full-time Custom Test Engineer for one of our partners that is driving the world towards sustainable mobility with cutting-edge technology and innovative charging infrastructure solutions. In this position, you will monitor and coordinate test systems for PU and SiC stack within production while introducing and maintaining structured processes for test equipment planning, validation, commissioning, and continuous OEE improvement. *Responsibilities* * Oversee production test systems and collaborate with development teams on commissioning, validation, and integration activities * Develop project timelines and monitor milestone progress for test system implementation * Implement, monitor, and enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) metrics and performance * Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between R&D, laboratory, and production departments * Enhance testing protocols and procedures while contributing to the development and upkeep of process and control documentation * Establish improvement strategies for test system advancement through data-driven statistical analysis to enhance testing scope, system reliability, and operational efficiency *Required Qualifications* * 5+ years of experience in a production environment * Ability to interpret and respond to client specifications and business requirements * Proficiency with electronic End-of-Line testing systems, including hardware and software components * Background in manufacturing process technology and testing methodology development * Advanced skills in equipment validation, process capability studies, statistical analysis, and Six Sigma methodologies * Strong technical knowledge of database systems and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) operations * Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices * Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, including Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) * Demonstrated commitment to quality standards and accountability in work performance * Strong problem-solving abilities and data-driven decision-making skills * Adaptable mindset with the capacity to adjust to changing priorities and business needs *Preferred Qualifications* * 5 years of professional experience in the field of test systems *Benefits* * Medical Benefits with cost assistance. * Vision * Dental * Life Insurance paid by the employer * Disability * Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA/HSA) * PTO (minimum 16 days) * Company holidays *Keywords* Custom Test Engineer, Test Systems, Production, OEE Optimization, Electronic EOL Testing, Process Technology, Test Engineering, Machine Validation, Six Sigma, Statistical Analysis, Data Management, PLC, Lean Management, Risk Management, FMEA, Quality Control, Manufacturing, Appleton Wisconsin, EV Charging, Sustainable Mobility, Test Equipment, Commissioning, Validation Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Benefits: * Dental insurance * Flexible spending account * Health insurance * Health savings account * Life insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
