Approximately 6% turnover over the last six years in a space that often exceeds 20–25%.Now they are looking for a Director of Tax Services to take ownership and lead it forward.About the RoleThis is full ownership of the tax function.You will oversee operations, quality, people, and strategy. You will build the team, shape the client experience, and drive growth in a way that aligns with the firm's values.You are not stepping into a maintenance role. You are stepping into a leadership position that requires vision and execution.What You Will Do• Lead and manage the entire tax service line, including people, process, and performance• Establish and maintain quality standards across all tax engagements• Develop and retain a high-performing team through strong leadership and accountability• Drive business development and expand client relationships• Oversee workflow, capacity planning, and operational efficiency• Represent the firm in the marketplace through networking and thought leadership• Advise clients on complex tax and business matters at a strategic level• Align the tax practice with the broader goals of the firmWhy This Role Is Different• You are building within a stable, proven foundation• Leadership will trust you to lead, not second-guess you• Culture is already strong and measurable, not aspirational• You have the ability to shape the future of the practiceYou Might Be a Fit If• You have operated at a senior level and are ready for full day-to-day leaership and ownership• You are both a leader and an operator• You have experience growing client relationships and developing teams.
