Summer InternshipRestless Works Architecture & Design EmployerAndes, NY, US (remote possible)Location:Wed, May 27 '26Posted On$22 hourly Pay:Job DescriptionRestless Works is currently accepting applications for an immediate Summer 2026 Architectural Internship position.The internship will run through June, July, and August 2026, with the potential for extension if it feels like a strong fit for both the studio and applicant.Please See Below For Further DetailsROLE: Architectural InternThis is preferably an in-person / in-office position based in Andes, New York. Remote candidates may be considered; responsibilities may be adjusted for remote work.Flexible hourly schedule between 20–40 hours per weekInterns will work closely with all members of the studio and contribute to projects across all phases of design and constructionThe role includes both office work and frequent site visitsBecause we operate as a highly collaborative studio, interns are involved in real project conversations from day one — contributing ideas, solving problems, participating in reviews, and helping move projects forward in meaningful ways.Projects May IncludeNew homesRenovations and additionsInteriors and furnitureInstallations and experimental workWhatever else happens to come through the doorRestless Works is a design-focused architecture and interiors studio that approaches every project as a collaborative effort between designer, client, and craftsman.Working in a rural context means interns will gain exposure not only to design work within the studio, but also to construction sites, fabrication processes, consultants, craftspeople, and the realities of how projects come together outside the office environment.Studio Culture / ExpectationsSelf-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently when neededWillingness to contribute as part of a highly collaborative team environmentStrong communication skills and openness to feedback and discussionInterest in participating across many aspects of the work rather than maintaining ownership over a single scope or taskAbility to balance design thinking with organization, follow-through, and attention to detailRequirementsEducationCurrent enrollment in, or recent graduation from, a professional architecture or interior design program preferredSoftware and SkillsRhino proficiency preferredAutoCAD and/or ArchiCAD proficiency preferredAdobe Creative Suite proficiency required (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)Rendering experience is a plus (Enscape, V-Ray, Corona, or similar)Strong graphic, organizational, and communication skillsInterest in residential architecture, interiors, detailing, materials, and construction processesExperiencePrior internship, fabrication, construction, furniture-making, or hands-on building experience is a plus, but not requiredWhat You’ll GainDirect involvement in active residential projectsExposure to all phases of design and constructionFrequent site visits and coordination experienceCollaborative studio environment with direct access to principals and project discussionsOpportunity to contribute meaningfully to real built workSubmission RequirementsPortfolio (PDF, 5MB max)Resume / CV (PDF)Short statement of interest or introductionPlease submit materials to hello@restlessworks.com with “Summer Internship 2026” in the subject line.
