Behavioral Specialist in School Setting | Sykesville, Maryland

Job Description Must have completed Behavior Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1+ years Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.This position offers the opportunity to support students with emotional disabilities in a structured school environment, primarily within a Pyramid program aimed at behavioral development. The role involves working closely with students, staff, and families to implement effective behavior strategies and support individualized education plans.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement behavior intervention plans for students with emotional disabilities.Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support positive student outcomes.Conduct functional behavior assessments and data analysis to guide interventions.Participate in regular meetings and planning sessions with the educational team.Provide training and support to school staff on behavior management techniques.Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary.Qualifications:Valid Maryland BCBA License.Experience working with students with emotional and behavioral challenges in a school setting.Strong collaboration and communication skills.Ability to manage time effectively, including after-school meetings.Commitment to supporting student success and well-being.Location & Schedule:Position is based in Sykesville, MD.Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:15 AM to 2:45 PM.Includes meetings every Tuesday and every other Thursday until 3:45 PM.Contract available through June 16, 2026, with a start date ASAP.This role is ideal for a BCBA professional dedicated to making a meaningful impact on students educational experiences in a supportive school environment.
