The ideal candidate is self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable working directly with contractors, construction companies, and industrial customers.Our East District is looking for a Territory Sales Manager. This position reports to the East District Manager and is responsible for developing new business, maintaining strong customer relationships, and increasing equipment rental and sales revenue within their assigned territory only visiting branch locations less than 20% of their worked time. This is a full-time, exempt position with work primarily performed Monday through Friday during standard business hours, with occasional additional time as business needs require.Benefits:No Nights or weekendsExempt paid holidays- nine (9) days annuallyAccrued vacation payPaid sick leave- 40hrs annuallyBereavement Leave- up to five (5) days with 24hrs or three (3) days paidUnlimited Commission earning potential (competitive agreement)Competitive five (5) year base salary plan 401K plan and profit sharing after one (1) year of serviceMedical, Dental, Vision options for employeesCompany Vehicle and fuel card (business use)Company issued technology (cellphone, laptop and/or tablet)Employee uniforms providedCareer advancement opportunitiesTuition reimbursementEmployee discountTeam appreciation events Job Duties:Prospect new and grow existing business within assigned territory through cold calling, jobsite visits, and referralsBuild and strengthen relationships with contractors, construction companies, and industrial customersIdentify customer needs and recommend equipment and solutions across the full product lineLeverage knowledge to support customer jobsite needs, increase sales, and conduct equipment demonstrations with basic operational trainingManage territory accounts through regular jobsite visits, proactive outreach, and relationship development to uncover new opportunitiesPrepare quotes, follow up on leads, rentals, and opportunitiesSchedule work orders and prepare rental contracts in coordination with branch operationsTrack sales activity, customer interactions, follow-ups, and maintain accurate call logs and notes in company systemsMonitor market conditions and competitor activity within the territory to improve sales strategyCoordinate with inside sales and yard personnel to ensure equipment availability, readiness, and excellent customer serviceProvide operational support at branch less than 20% of work time, including assisting with equipment handling, deliveries, and branch activitiesMaintain a clean, organized, and professional work areas, including company vehicleMeet or exceed monthly and annual sales goalsStructured onboarding and training program providedAny duties deemed necessary by supervisorRequirementsRequirements:18 years or older. Valid CA driver's licenseValid proof of eligibility to work in the US.Previous outside sales experience preferred (equipment rental or construction industry a plus!)
