Job DescriptionGHG Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Wheeling, West Virginia.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Med SurgDiscipline: RNStart Date: ASAPDuration: 1 weeks36 hours per weekShift: 12 hours, rotatingEmployment Type: TravelEstimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2300.36\n\nOpportunity:\nMed Surg - RN\n\nJob Details:\n• Work 12-hour day/night rotating shifts with weekends as scheduled\n• Typically work 1/2 of total weekends\n• 30-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:6/7 (must be comfortable with ratio up to 1:7)\n• No standby or call requirements\n• May be required to float as needed based on census (external travelers float first)\n• Must live within 50-mile radius of facility\n• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS\n• BSN not required\n• Navy blue scrubs required\n• Cancellation policy allows 2 shifts per 13-week contract\n• Use EPIC charting system\n• Work with PCTs (Patient Care Technicians) on unit\n• One charge RN on floor with assignment\n• Titrate heparin drips based on APTT results\n• Unit has telemetry monitored remotely by monitor techs\n• Equipment includes intermittent BIPAP (no ventilators)\n• Common patient diagnoses include CHF, COPD, cellulitis, rule-outs, cholecystitis, appendicitis, pneumonia, urosepsis, and AKI\n• Must provide copy of unexpired driver's license with submission\n• Any licensing issues must be disclosed at time of submission\n\nFacility:\nThis acute care medical facility provides comprehensive inpatient medical-surgical services with a focus on treating a diverse range of medical conditions.
