Job Title: Senior .NET Backend DeveloperStructure: 6 Month Contract (Extension Likely)Location: Charlotte, NC (4 Days Onsite, 1 Day Remote)Pay: 70/hrClient: Leading telecom providerRole Overview: Brooksource is seeking a Senior .NET Backend Developer to design and build high-performance, scalable backend systems for our client. This role focuses on high-concurrency applications, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native microservices in an Azure environment. This team is building high-scale backend services that support real-time customer interactions across a large enterprise platform. This is not a traditional web-based .NET role — this team builds high-scale, event-driven desktop applications that react to live call events, data streams, and real-time customer interactions.Key Responsibilities:Build and maintain scalable backend services using C#/.NETBuild and enhance desktop applications used by call centers in real time Develop systems that react to live events (calls, alerts, and data streams)Design and implement event-driven, distributed systemsDevelop high-throughput, low-latency applicationsDeploy and manage applications in Azure container environmentsPartner with engineering teams to improve performance, reliability, and observabilityRequired Skills:.NET & Desktop Development (WPF)Strong experience building desktop applications using WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation)Experience building event-driven desktop applications (not just web-based APIs)Strong experience with C# and .NETExpertise in asynchronous programming (async/await) and multithreadingExperience building high-concurrency, event-driven systemsAbility to troubleshoot issues like deadlocks, race conditions, and thread starvationCloud & AzureHands-on experience with Azure (Container Apps or AKS)Experience with Azure Service Bus, Event Hubs, or similar messaging toolsFamiliarity with Application Insights, Log Analytics, and distributed tracingContainers & DevOpsExperience with Docker and containerized applicationsUnderstanding of microservices architectureExposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflowsNice to Have:Telephony / Real-Time SystemsExperience working with real-time systems, streaming data, or applications that react to live eventsExposure to telephony systems or integrations (SIP/RTP, call handling, etc)AI / Streaming TechFamiliarity with Azure Speech ServicesExperience with WebSockets or gRPC for real-time communicationAdditionalPython experience for scripting or automationWhy This RoleWork on high-impact, large-scale systemsGain experience with modern cloud and microservices architectureCollaborative, fast-paced engineering environmentDisclaimer: Brooksource, Medasource, and Calculated Hire are part of the Eight Eleven Group family of companies and operate under Eight Eleven Group, LLC.
