We are seeking a highly motivated, results-driven Sales Representative to expand our presence throughout Northern California.Position OverviewAs the Northern California Sales Representative, you will be responsible for driving capital equipment sales and building long-term relationships with surgeons, clinical staff, and hospital administrators at public and private hospitals, academic medical centers, and teaching institutions. Your primary focus will be on promoting and selling our portfolio of surgical microscopes, EMI surgical micro instruments, and Hamamatsu PDE fluorescence imaging devices.This is a direct W-2 position. You will play a key role in introducing these advanced technologies to the Northern California surgical community, helping to improve patient outcomes and supporting Mitaka USA's continued growth in the region.Key Responsibilities• Develop and execute strategic territory sales plans to achieve and exceed capital equipment sales targets within the Northern California area.• Identify and prospect new accounts, build a strong sales pipeline, and advance opportunities through long-cycle capital acquisition processes including VAC/value analysis, GPO/IDN navigation, and budget planning.• Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure ongoing satisfaction, clinical utilization, and repeat business.• Conduct product presentations, live surgical demonstrations, and in-service training sessions for surgeons and clinical staff.• Provide post-sale support and coordinate with technical service on installation, training, and ongoing maintenance needs.• Collaborate with marketing and customer support to deliver comprehensive solutions and excellent customer service.• Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and product developments to effectively address customer questions and position Mitaka's advantages.• Prepare and submit timely pipeline reports, sales forecasts, and market analysis to sales management via CRM.QualificationsRequired• Proven track record in medical capital equipment sales, with demonstrated success navigating multi-stakeholder, long-cycle selling environments• Experience gaining OR and surgical suite access and engaging with surgeons in a clinical setting• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to both clinical and administrative audiences• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to manage a large territory independently• Willingness to travel extensively within Northern California and surrounding areas, plus occasional out-of-state travel for company meetings and conferencesStrongly Preferred• Established surgeon relationships within the Northern California Neuro, Otology, and/or Plastics & Reconstructive surgery communities• Familiarity with surgical microscopes, optical imaging systems, or related intraoperative visualization equipment• Experience with hospital capital budget cycles and the value analysis/VAC approval process• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business, Life Sciences, Medical Technology, or similar)Compensation & Benefits• Competitive base salary with uncapped commission structure; strong OTE for candidates who convert existing surgeon relationships• Territory exclusivity within Northern California• Mileage/vehicle reimbursement and expense coverage for travel• Retirement plan• Professional development, product training, and ongoing clinical education opportunitiesHow to ApplyIf you are a results-oriented professional with a passion for surgical technology and a drive to excel in capital equipment sales, we encourage you to apply.
