Job Description As a Security Officer Patrol Response Watch in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access activities. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon08:00 AM - 05:00 PMTue08:00 AM - 05:00 PMWed08:00 AM - 05:00 PMThur08:00 AM - 05:00 PMFri08:00 AM - 05:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, offices, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify concerns. Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and/or vendor movement in accordance with site protocols, reporting suspicious behavior and/or policy violations. Support daily operations by preparing reports, noting maintenance or environmental concerns, and relaying important information to supervisors and/or designated personnel.Minimum Requirements: An armed guard card and/or license is required. Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred. CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
