In this role, the individual will communicate daily with the customer on project updates, as well as maintain/oversee project timeliness, budgetary constraints, and additional specifications.Job ResponsibilitiesCompletes engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elementsWork directly with other project managers, and the production team on factory floor to create build plansDevelop designs based on customers’ specifications, drawings, and/or high-level requirementsDevelop easy to interpret build plans for factory floor based on overall design. This would include component, and sub assembly packagesDevelops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans and conferring with managementInterface with customers technical teams to determine designsDetermines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements, assigning personnel to phases and elementsDetermines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standardsCompletes technical studies and prepares cost estimates for project bids (if necessary)Confirms product performance by designing and conducting testsDetermines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elementsMaintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problemsControls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan, scheduling changes, and recommending actionsControls project costs by approving expenditures and administering contractor contractsPrepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, recommending actionsMaintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulationsMaintains project database by writing computer programs, entering and backing up dataMaintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulationsContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededRequired QualificationsBachelor’s or Masters of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or other related discipline 5+ years of project experience working in the manufacturing, construction, modular construction or fabrication industryProficient with MS Office Suite of tools, exposure to schedule softwareExperience with CAD, 3D modeling, and SolidWorksPreferred QualificationsExperience with small to medium manufacturing facilities sites preferredGTI promotes a diverse and inclusive workforce and is an Equal Opportunity Employer that does not discriminate against employees or applicants for employment on the basis of race, color, national origin, ancestry, age, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, medical condition, genetic information, military or veteran status, marital status, or any other Federal or State legally-protected classes.
