DevOps Engineer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site DevOps Engineer role based in the London Area, United Kingdom. The DevOps Engineer will design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure to support software delivery and production systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and managing CI pipelines, automating infrastructure provisioning, monitoring system performance and reliability, and troubleshooting issues across environments. The role involves collaborating closely with software development teams to streamline release processes, improve deployment frequency, and ensure secure, stable, and observable platforms. The DevOps Engineer will also contribute to documentation, best practices, and continuous improvement of tooling and workflows.Qualifications Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and practices, such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.Solid foundation in Software Development, with proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Go, Bash).Hands-on expertise in Continuous Integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools and pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, CircleCI).Proficient System Administration skills, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of servers and services.Advanced skills working with Linux-based environments, including shell usage, security hardening, and performance tuning.Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is highly beneficial.Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and associated networking, security, and storage services.Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.Relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, CloudWatch) is a plus.
