Functional Safety Engineer

We are looking for a Functional Safety Engineer to support the development and validation of safety concepts and requirements across system, software, and hardware levels. The role involves safety analysis, requirement refinement, and integration support aligned with industry standards such as ISO 26262.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport development and review of Technical Safety Concepts (TSC) and safety requirementsRefine and align requirements with system functional architecturePerform safety analysis to support concept and requirement developmentContribute to component-level safety concepts for CoPI subsystemsReview and support safety-rated Ethernet switch implementation, including assumptions of use and requirement definitionAssist in software integration for safety-related componentsDevelop hardware-software interface documentation for safety-critical (white-box) componentsPerform Dependent Failure Analysis (DFA) and recommend mitigation strategies for hardwareSupport Hardware FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) activitiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with functional safety processesRequired Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Automotive EngineeringExperience in functional safety engineering within automotive or embedded systemsStrong understanding of ISO 26262Experience with safety analysis techniques (FMEA, DFA, FTA)Knowledge of hardware-software integration in safety-critical systemsFamiliarity with automotive communication protocols (Ethernet, CAN, etc.)Experience in requirements development and managementPreferred QualificationsExperience with safety-rated networking components (e.g., Ethernet switches)Exposure to ADAS, ECU, or vehicle system architectureFamiliarity with tools like DOORS, Medini Analyze, or similar safety toolsStrong analytical and documentation skills
