We're focused on purpose-driven work, and strongly believe what's good for pets, people and our planet is good for Petco.Duties & ResponsibilitiesResponsible for long-range technology strategy planning for our commerce platform and integrated systemsWork with technical leaders to define and refine vision, architecture, and stack; lead efforts to make timely technical decisionsManage policy development to address complex business issues; provide leadership to cross-functional teamsPartner with Product Development to influence what is built for business consumptionAdvocate for enterprise technology initiatives in the enterprise technology backlog structureIdentify interdependencies and emerging trends across interrelated technology efforts to continuously improve products and servicesPartner with Program/Project and Tech SMEs to create realistic roadmaps and set expectations with customers; stay close to the product, guide the process to ensure accurate and timely deliveryLeverage engineering, problem solving and influencing skills to ensure process and risk management solutions are technically soundCoordinate outsourced engineering effort from teams with differing skill setsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related fields, or equivalent work experienceHands-on experience with React.js, Node.js, and Next.jsExperience with frontend architecture, component design for high-traffic websites (prefer e-commerce related)AWS & Application observability12+ years of IT and business industry work experience in managing multiple, large, cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior-level management and key stakeholdersAdvanced technical and business knowledge in software development life cycle, quality assurance, project management and related disciplines/processesSalary & BenefitsThe pay ranges outlined below are presented in accordance with state-specific regulations. These ranges may differ in other areas and could be subject to variation based on regulatory minimum wage requirements. Actual pay rates will depend on factors such as position, location, level of experience, and applicable state or local minimum wage laws.Salary Range: $194,600.00 - $291,900.00Hourly or Salary Range will be reflected above.
