About the Role Anthro is developing advanced electrolyte systems to enable safer, higher-performance next-generation batteries. We are seeking a hands-on and collaborative Associate Electrolyte Engineer to support electrolyte formulation, characterization, and electrochemical evaluation.In this role, you will work closely with scientists and cross-functional partners in materials and cell development to translate ideas into experiments and actionable data. You will contribute to the rapid iteration of electrolyte concepts, helping to build foundational capabilities and accelerate technology development. Your work will play an important role in advancing electrolyte performance and enabling the next generation of battery innovation.ResponsibilitiesSupport the design, preparation, and optimization of electrolyte formulations across various battery chemistries.Perform electrolyte characterization, including ionic conductivity, viscosity, density, moisture content, and HF analysis.Assemble and test electrochemical cells (e.g., coin cells, pouch cells), including cycling, EIS, CV measurements, etc.Assist in developing and refining test protocols to improve data quality and throughputAnalyze experimental data to identify trends and performance drivers.Summarize findings through clear documentation, reports, and presentations. Contribute to team discussions and help guide next experimental steps based on data.Follow and help reinforce laboratory safety practices. Support lab setup, organization, and scaling of experimental workflows as the team grows.RequirementsRequired QualificationsB.S or M.S. in Chemistry, Materials Science & Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field with 1-2 years of experience in industry (or an industrial internship in the battery field)Hands-on laboratory experience with chemical handling and solution preparationStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailAbility to work independently while also collaborating in a small teamEffective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to clearly present experimental results and insights into technical and cross-functional teams.Preferred QualificationsInternship, research, or project experience in batteries, electrochemistry, or energy storageFamiliarity with electrochemical techniques such as EIS, CV, and cell assemblyUnderstanding of battery fundamentals and electrolyte systemsExperience working with gloveboxes and air/moisture-sensitive materialsProficiency in Python or similar tools for data analysis and visualizationBenefitsCompetitive salary and equity compensation commensurate with experience.
