Built as a family business, we are continuing to grow and are looking for motivated and reliable associates to help in our mission of Bringing Chocolate to Life!Available Shifts:3rd Shift: Sunday - Thursday 10:30p-7a: base pay $19.38 +$1 Shift DifferentialEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Prepare boxes for production line: record empty weight, add liner, stamp product line, affix product labelsEvaluate product visually to ensure appearance is symmetrical and notify Supervisor of any concernsLoad finished molded product into boxes or super sacksSort product that does not meet quality standards, place in re-work binReport any defective materials, missing or damaged tools, or questionable conditions to SupervisorMaintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly conditionEnsure critical control point compliance documenting US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) results, magnet cleaning, downtime, waste generation; Report any non-conformitiesRotate into other production areas and perform additional duties where resources may be neededCollaborate with co-workers on the plant floor throughout production cyclePick up other tasks that may be needed during downtime (maintaining clean work areas, etc.)Operate within the Blommer core values of respect and care for othersPhysical Requirements:Able to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for prolonged periods of timeAble to set up, adjust and operate machineryRegularly required to bend, stoop, and reachAble to observe and detect issuesOccasionally ascend/descend stairsOccasionally move materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basisConstantly operate within a manufacturing product environment - daily exposure to noise, dust and variation in temperature (hot/cold)Safety, Quality and Hygiene Requirements:Operate with a focus on safety and quality, while maintaining a sanitary work environmentComply with Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) Lockout/Tagout requirements for hazardous energy sourcesAdhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure that products are consistently produced and controlled according to quality standardsAdhere to FDA HACCP guidelinesAdhere to Allergen Management best practices for food manufacturersComply with workplace uniform requirements and safety gearMaintain compliance with all company policies, procedures and code of conductBlommer Chocolate Company provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
