Built as a family business, we are continuing to grow and are looking for motivated and reliable associates to help in our mission of Bringing Chocolate to Life!Available Shift: 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday: 3pm - 11:30pm: base pay range $23.00 +$1 Shift DifferentialEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Pumping:Understand piping system to ensure lines are set properly and valves closedMonitor piping system to avoid cross contamination or spillageStabilizing:Review, collect, monitor, and document required ingredients to maintain correct recipe specificationsCombine specified ingredients into mixer and monitor closely to ensure quality standards are metInput required documentation of product specifications and quality into the systemConduct regular sample tests to confirm accurate recipe specification, measuring items such as viscosity, fineness, color, flavor and fatAccurately record test results and store product samples for traceabilityAdditional:Report any defective materials, missing or damaged tools to the SupervisorMaintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly conditionEnsure critical control point compliance documenting US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) results, magnet cleaning, downtime, waste generation; report any non-conformitiesRotate into other production areas and perform additional duties where resources may be neededCollaborate with co-workers on the plant floor throughout production cyclePick up other tasks that may be needed during downtime (maintaining clean work areas, etc.)Operate within the Blommer core values of respect and care for othersNote: The employer reserves the right to change or assign other duties to this positionPhysical Requirements:Able to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for prolonged periods ofRegularly required to bend, stoop, and reachOccasionally ascend/descend stairsOccasionally move materials weighing up to 50 poundsConstantly operate within a manufacturing product environment - daily exposure to noise, dust and variation in temperature (hot/cold)Skills and Work Experience Requirements:Able to follow clear instructionsAble to read and write English to perform tasks successfullySkilled in applying mathematical reasoning to the measurements of ingredients for production purposesBasic technology skills to record data into computer or electronic tabletContinuous attention to details in performing all tasksComfortable working as an individual contributor as well as with a team, as requiredExpected to identify, communicate/escalate and problem-solve as issues ariseEducation:High school diploma or equivalent preferredBlommer Chocolate Company provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
