Help Desk Technician
Description:
TRISTAR is seeking a Help Desk Technician for our Corporate IT Department in Bloomington, IN
The Help Desk Technician plays a pivotal role in providing direct support to Operations and their various contracts
This position primarily involves handling basic help desk inquiries, troubleshooting, new user setup, equipment distribution, and managing inventory systems
Additionally, occasional travel to different offices and conference room assistance are part of the responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have a strong customer service orientation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Position Responsibilities
Provide frontline support for Operations and their contracts, addressing basic help desk inquiries and troubleshooting
Manage the creation, setup, and orientation of new users, excluding corporate new hires
Handle shipping and distribution of equipment to operation users
Manage new inventory systems and ensure accurate tracking of asset
Occasional travel to different offices to provide onsite support
Assist with conference room setup and troubleshooting
Collaborate with corporate IT as needed to resolve issues and provide assistance
Perform both on-site and remote operations support
Maintain regular 8-5 style working hours
Requirements:
Previous experience in a help desk or technical support role preferred
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve basic technical issues
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to occasionally travel to different offices
Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus
MUST be a US Citizen
Must possess active DoD Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one
Education and/or Certification
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred
