Take a virtual tour and explore our building amenities.The PositionThis is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated, self-starter to advance their paralegal career by developing an understanding of the anatomy of defense litigation through hands-on experience in a fast-paced litigation group.Key Responsibilities:Prepare records, review and prepare exhibits, analyze medical records, and trial preparationContact outside sources (government agencies, etc.) to obtain public information and review and analyze the sameSearch and retrieve information from court-related databases as well as other online sources of case informationPrepare summary of pertinent transcriptsAssemble chronologies of pertinent facts and key documentsReview, analyze and organize document productions by opposing parties and co-defendantsDetermine, prepare and organize materials needed for expert witness reviewConduct investigative research on opposing parties and expert witnessesManage documents and organize case filesMonitor and review third party eFile/eService databasesOther responsibilities as requestedQualificationsMust have a bachelor's degreeParalegal Certificate from an ABA accredited Paralegal program/course preferred2+ years toxic personal injury and/or tort litigation experience preferred, including asbestos, talc, silica, benzene, mold, or similar casesExperience preparing pleadings and discovery requests/responses, summarizing medical, employment, and military records, and supporting trialTrial preparation experience a plusStrong proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)iManage experience a plusAttention to detail and organizational skills are criticalClear and effective communication skills both orally and in writingMust be able to work independently and be proactiveExperience with e-discovery and using Relativity or other document review platforms is a plusA variety of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands, other business and organizational needs, and other factors permitted by law. This position is also eligible for discretionary bonuses. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. This position is considered full-time and therefore qualifies for benefits including 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance.
