Plant Controller
ControllerOverviewThis role is ideal for a seasoned finance leader who brings both technical depth and operational partnership. As Controller, you will own the integrity of financial reporting, lead planning and forecasting efforts, strengthen controls, and act as a trusted advisor to senior operations leadership. You’ll combine hands‑on execution with strategic influence in a complex, manufacturing‑driven environment.What You’ll DoLead all accounting and financial reporting activities to deliver accurate, timely, and compliant financial resultsOwn the monthly close process, including preparation and review of reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedulesPrepare quarterly reforecasts by integrating historical performance with forward‑looking assumptionsProactively analyze variances and clearly communicate risks and opportunities against budget and forecast expectationsEvaluate existing accounting processes, recommend improvements, and implement scalable, best‑practice solutionsDirect the annual budgeting process, including review of budget submissions and development of supporting documentationOversee internal control frameworks and ensure compliance with regulatory and accounting standardsCoordinate and serve as the primary point of contact for external auditorsPrepare financial reports required by regulatory agencies and executive leadershipPartner closely with operational leadership as a strategic finance advisor to drive performance and decision‑makingBuild, lead, and retain a high‑performing accounting team through effective hiring, coaching, and developmentWhat You’ll NeedCPA certification requiredBig 4 public accounting background, with progression into industry and advancement to Controller or senior finance leadership rolesBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership responsibilityPrior experience in automotive or manufacturing environments strongly preferredDeep knowledge of financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and internal controlsStrong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable insightsProven experience presenting financial information to senior leaders and executive stakeholdersDemonstrated success leading, developing, and retaining accounting teamsAbility to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment while maintaining accuracy and controlIf you meet the above qualifications and would like to apply for this position, you may email your up-to-date, professional CV/resume to Tim Dameron @ timothy.dameron@adeccona.com.Perfect placements.
