This role is critical in ensuring adherence to FAR/DFARS regulations, managing DCAA audit readiness, and supporting proposal pricing and cost strategy.The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Deltek Costpoint, government contract accounting, and building compliant financial processes that scale with growth.Key Responsibilities:Financial Management & ReportingOversee all accounting operations including GL, AP/AR, payroll, project accounting, and revenue recognitionEnsure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reportingMaintain internal controls and accounting policies in compliance with GAAP and government regulationsLead the month-end and year-end close processesGovernment Contract ComplianceEnsure full compliance with FAR, DFARS, and other federal regulationsMaintain and enhance accounting systems and practices to support government contract requirementsServe as the primary point of contact for DCAA audits, incurred cost submissions, and compliance reviewsDevelop and maintain policies for timekeeping, expense reporting, and indirect rate structuresPricing & Proposal SupportPartner with business development and contracts teams to develop compliant, competitive pricing for proposalsBuild and validate cost models, indirect rates, and pricing strategiesSupport RFP responses with cost volume development and financial narrativesAnalyze contract profitability and provide recommendationsCostpoint AdministrationLead configuration, optimization, and maintenance of Deltek CostpointEnsure system integrity and alignment with compliance standardsOversee project setup, cost pools, indirect rate structures, and reportingLeadership & StrategyManage and mentor accounting and finance staffProvide strategic financial insights to executive leadershipIdentify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and reporting efficiencyRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred)8–12+ years of progressive accounting experience, with significant time in federal government contractingDeep knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and DCAA audit requirementsHands-on experience with Deltek CostpointProven experience supporting proposal pricing and cost volume developmentStrong understanding of indirect rate structures (fringe, overhead, G&A)Experience managing DCAA audits, incurred cost submissions, and audit responsesAdvanced Excel and financial modeling skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience in a growing government contractor environmentFamiliarity with forward pricing rate agreements (FPRA)Experience with CAS (Cost Accounting Standards) compliancePrior leadership or team management experienceKey Competencies:Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to translate complex regulations into actionable processesExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skillsProactive, hands-on leadership styleWhat BLN24 brings to the Game:BLN24 benefits are game changing.
