Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit night shift position with advanced cardiac skills and strong PCU experience.Job Details• Work in a 32-bed Progressive Care Unit within a hospital setting,• Night shift schedule from 1900-0700 with a 36-hour option available,• Primary patient population includes CHF, dysrhythmia, chest pain, stroke, abdominal illnesses, respiratory illness, diabetes, acute and chronic kidney injury, ETOH withdrawal, and IV drug abuse,• RN-to-patient ratio is typically 1:4, may increase to 1:5 based on acuity,• Requires floating to multiple hospitals within the region as needed and within scope of practice,• Every other weekend rotation is required,• No on-call requirements,• Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays,• EMR: Epic; Equipment includes Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell med dispensing, Phillips monitors,Job Requirements• Active NC or compact RN license required,• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required,• Minimum 18 months of progressive care (PCU) RN experience required,• Experience with trach care, cardiac gtt management, cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, blood product administration, wound care, and central line management,• Experience using Epic EMR preferred,Additional Information• Responsibilities include advanced cardiac and neuro care, managing a variety of acute and chronic diagnoses, and performing specialized nursing tasks,• Support staff includes CNA, receptionist or HUC on days, charge nurse, phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, respiratory therapy, hospitalist, intensivist, and telemetry monitoring support,• Facility is a Level 3 Trauma and Certified Chest Pain/Stroke Center,• Team culture is family-oriented,• Scrub color is navy,• Free parking is provided,• Orientation includes NEO and 2 days of departmental training,• First-time travelers will be considered,
