It also stands for our larger family – our inspiring and talented employees and our partner suppliers around the world – who are committed to carrying out an authentic and extraordinary tradition.SummaryThe ERP Systems Engineer reports to the Chief Technology Officer and is responsible for the administration, configuration, and continuous improvement of Matouk's Salesforce-native ERP platform (Rootstock) and its supporting automations. This role owns the technical health of the systems that run Matouk's manufacturing, inventory, fulfillment, and order-to-cash operations, building advanced Salesforce Flows and process automations that keep the business running smoothly and scalable.The ideal candidate combines a foundational understanding of core ERP and manufacturing concepts—such as Material Requirements Planning (MRP), inventory lifecycles, and shop-floor production routing—with deep, hands-on Salesforce technical expertise. They are comfortable navigating the structural nuances of a Salesforce-native ERP, including custom data models, backend API objects, and integrations with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).This person is a proactive troubleshooter with a detective mindset: rather than applying repetitive manual patches, they independently investigate system exceptions and integration drops to diagnose root-cause data discrepancies and build permanent, programmatic safeguards. They are curious and self-directed, identifying clunky operational bottlenecks before they disrupt the business, and they actively use modern AI tools—such as Gemini, Claude, or ChatGPT—to streamline workflows, build automations, and develop new tools.Working closely with Operations, Fulfillment, and Finance leadership, the ERP Systems Engineer acts as a technical translator between technology and the business, turning complex physical workflows into stable, reliable system features.Responsibilities• Administer, configure, and maintain Matouk's Salesforce-native ERP platform (Rootstock), including custom data models, workflows, and related configurations.• Design, build, and maintain advanced Salesforce Flows and complex process automations that support manufacturing, inventory, fulfillment, and order-to-cash operations.• Apply core ERP and manufacturing knowledge—including Material Requirements Planning (MRP), inventory lifecycles, and shop-floor production routing—to keep system configurations aligned with real-world operations.• Maintain and troubleshoot integrations between the ERP, Warehouse Management System (WMS), and ecommerce systems with knowledge of API.• Independently investigate system exceptions and integration drops, diagnosing root-cause data discrepancies and building permanent, programmatic safeguards rather than relying on manual patches.• Write, test, and document Apex classes, Lightning Web Components, and custom scripts to support and extend business processes.• Leverage AI tools such as Gemini, Claude, or ChatGPT to streamline workflows, accelerate development, and generate advanced scripts.• Proactively identify clunky operational bottlenecks, research potential solutions, and drive fixes before they disrupt business continuity.• Partner directly with Operations, Fulfillment, and Finance leadership to translate complex physical workflows into stable, well-designed system features.• Use GitHub for version control and Postman for API testing and validation of integrations and automations.• Develop and deliver training programs, guides, and reference materials that help end users adopt new ERP features, automations, and workflow changes.• Provide ongoing support, documentation, and training to end users on ERP tools, automations, and processes.Qualifications• Foundational understanding of core ERP systems and operational principles, including Material Requirements Planning (MRP), inventory lifecycles, and shop-floor production routing, ideally within a manufacturing environment.• Technical acumen on the Salesforce platform that extends well beyond standard administration, with a proven ability to design, build, and maintain advanced Flows and complex process automations.• Ability to navigate the structural nuances of a Salesforce-native ERP (such as Rootstock), including custom data models, backend APIs, and integrations with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).• A proactive, detective mindset for independently investigating system exceptions and integration drops, diagnosing core data discrepancies, and building permanent programmatic safeguards.• Demonstrated curiosity and practical experience leveraging modern AI tools (such as Gemini, Claude, or ChatGPT) to streamline workflows, assist in writing Apex classes, or generate advanced scripts.• A naturally inquisitive self-starter who proactively identifies operational bottlenecks, independently researches solutions, and is motivated to fix system issues before they disrupt the business.• Strong business acumen and communication skills to serve as a technical translator between technology and business units, collaborating directly with Operations, Fulfillment, and Finance leadership.• Familiarity with Salesforce Flow/Automation, Python, SQL, REST/SOAP APIs, GitHub, Postman, and Lightning Web Components.• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Key Success Measures• Stable, high-performing ERP and integration environment, with a measurable reduction in recurring exceptions and manual patches through durable, root-cause fixes.• Delivery of well-designed, creative solutions to improve operational efficiency.• Strong cross-functional partnership with Operations, Fulfillment, and Finance, reflected in system features that accurately support real business workflows.Compensation and BenefitsWe offer a competitive base salary, annual bonus eligibility, medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid time off and holidays, and an employee discount on Matouk products.Location: Fall River, MA [Hybrid- 3 days a week in office]Equal Opportunity EmployerJohn Matouk & Co., Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
