Cybersecurity Engineer - Network Access & Segmentation 100% Remote Must be USC or GCH (No c2c permitted) Overview Our Cybersecurity team develops and manages next-generation solutions, systems, and assets that support the business. Candidates will need fundamental hands-on experience with core infrastructure operating systems, host compliance, file integrity monitoring solutions, and advanced malware defensive technologies, along with base knowledge of IBM AIX, Red Hat Enterprise, Mac OSX, and Windows Enterprise operating systems. Candidates should have experience operating in fast-paced, agile business environments while adhering to diverse regulatory and security framework expectations. Primary Responsibilities NAC Reconfiguration & Management: Configure and manage network access control (NAC) platforms across business units; develop device profiling and authentication policies; troubleshoot access control issues Network Segmentation & Zero-Trust: Design and implement microsegmentation policies (e.g., Illumio); conduct workload discovery; lead pilot and production deployments Network Infrastructure Support: Provide technical guidance on affiliated infrastructure projects; optimize network performance; support cross-functional initiatives Security Tool Administration: Manage monitoring and policy tools as needed; generate compliance reports Essential Functions Research, evaluate, validate, and recommend technical security solutions; assist with build, test, and implementation for the enterprise and its business units Coordinate with product vendors and service providers supporting technical security capabilities and processes Manage system/application environment, configuration, policy, and required operational activities on assigned technical security solutions Monitor, report on, and enhance performance of assigned technical security solutions Provide security technology incident response and problem management; troubleshoot software/hardware issues on assigned solutions; resolve alerts and perform remediation for return-to-operation Own follow-up on all security work requests, collaborating with other IT areas to ensure timely resolution and appropriate approvals Support escalations, known issues, and out-of-cycle requests across multiple security solutions Support development and maintenance of operational documentation (procedures, engineering diagrams, knowledgebase) Collect, analyze, synthesize, and present data on technical security solutions and processes to peers, leadership, and business stakeholders ssist with migration, upgrade, and disposal of complex security capabilities; evaluate risks and impacts Collaborate across business areas to deliver on work group initiatives ssist with continuous testing, validation of product performance, and gap analysis for security hardening ssist with execution and alignment to security reference architecture standards and published blueprints ssist with disaster recovery planning, design, implementation, and exercises on security technology solutions ssist with remediation actions resulting from threat and vulnerability assessments or audits Provide training to others on security capabilities, processes, procedures, and operational tasks Required Qualifications 4 years related work experience 2 years in Cybersecurity 2 years Information Technology Infrastructure Related Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking preferred bility to work independently while knowing when to seek advice/assistance Basic understanding of security concepts and controls for network, application, and operating systems Experience or knowledge of vulnerability and patch management; ability to troubleshoot and investigate security-related issues Strong technical, analytical, and administrative skills Strong documentation and review skills Strong problem-solving and solutioning skills Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills Required Certifications (at time of submittal) SSCP (or equivalent relevant cybersecurity/technical certification).
