5-9 Year Attorney

We are seeking a 5–9-year Litigation Associate to handle a diverse caseload of complex defense matters. This role is ideal for an attorney who is comfortable managing cases independently while collaborating with a broader team across offices.Manage a caseload of litigation matters from inception through resolutionHandle all aspects of written discovery, including drafting and respondingTake and defend depositions (fact witnesses, parties, and experts)Draft and argue substantive motions (including dispositive motions)Attend court appearances and hearingsWork directly with clients on case strategy, reporting, and risk assessmentCollaborate with attorneys across multiple offices on national litigation mattersAssist in trial preparation and participate in trial teams as needed5–9 years of litigation experience (defense experience strongly preferred)Strong deposition experience (taking and defending)Experience drafting and arguing motionsAbility to independently manage cases with minimal supervisionExcellent written and oral communication skillsStrong organizational and case management abilitiesLicensed and in good standing in IllinoisExperience in transportation, products liability, or general liability defenseExposure to high-volume or national litigation portfoliosTrial or second-chair trial experience is a plusHands-on responsibility with meaningful client interaction, Collaborative, team-oriented culture across offices, Opportunity to work with national clients on complex matters, Clear path for growth and advancement, Competitive compensation and benefits package.
