Manager Procurement - Packaging

Reporting to the Director of Procurement, you will lead the Enterprise Procurement group in one or more assigned categories within the Packaging area. You will source, negotiate, contract, and manage high‑value categories ranging from fifty million dollars to over three hundred million dollars in annual spend, with a focus on folding cartons. You will partner with internal customers to develop sourcing strategies, build a strong supply base, drive cost savings, and maintain service levels across the enterprise.A Taste of Your ResponsibilitiesJointly plan and execute sourcing strategies for assigned categories in collaboration with cross‑functional partners across the enterpriseEstablish and maintain strategic supplier relationships to identify and deliver cost savings opportunitiesNegotiate, contract, and implement preferred supplier agreementsLead cross‑functional teams through sourcing and procurement initiativesResearch market dynamics, cost drivers, supplier business models, and historical spend to strengthen negotiation strategiesProvide clear position reporting and practical application of volume estimatesDraft Requests for Information and Requests for Proposal and conduct associated analysesEnsure service, quality, innovation, and product improvement requirements are metPartner with Operations and Brand teams to resolve supply chain issuesResolve supplier and internal customer issues to support successful implementationManage supplier relationships and track Key Performance Indicators to evaluate and report performanceEnsure continuity of services by monitoring supplier performance and mitigating riskApply advanced sourcing practices and industry modeling to supplier strategiesProvide organizational leadership by promoting innovative approaches and emerging technologiesIngredients Required for Your SuccessBachelor’s degreeSeven or more years of experience in Procurement or a related fieldExperience supporting end‑user expectations and requirements within strategic sourcingProject management experience, including delivery of complex initiativesExperience implementing and completing large, cross‑functional projectsExperience with Microsoft Office applications, internet research, and Enterprise Resource Planning systemsExperience leading diverse teams and driving alignmentConflict management and stakeholder engagement experienceExperience with Systems Applications and Products, Right Angle, Microsoft Excel with complex spreadsheets, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft AccessNumber of Days in Office: 3 Tuesday - ThursdayCompensationPay Range:$107,000-$156,000The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity.
