Production Test Technician (2026-027)

They will carry out their duties with an emphasis on 5s, safety, calibration and quality. This role will follow set procedures and standard operational guidelines.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSMay occasionally perform the set-up,?testing and troubleshooting of circuits,?components, instruments and?mechanical assembliesTest and troubleshoot (less complex) assemblies and/or final systemsMay occasionally complete rework on?assemblies and/or systems as a result?of testingMay occasionally prepare reports of?summarizing findingsMay occasionally assist in the set-up of?specialized test equipmentMonitor and adjust production processes for quality and productivityRead blueprints, wiring diagrams,?schematic drawings, or engineering?instructions for assembling electronics?units, applying knowledge of?electronic theory and componentsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation/Experience:Associate degree (AS) in Electronics Technology or related field/ equivalent electronics military schooling and experience requiredHigh-power electronics and/or high-power avionics technician experience may be considered in lieu of formal education. Total qualifying experience must meet the years, duties, skills and proficiency required to perform the position level standards.Demonstrates familiarity (typically 1-2 years of direct experience in the essential functions of the position)Technical Skills:Microsoft Office SuiteElectrical/electronic knowledgeKnowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programmingIndustrial control software - Control and data acquisition software (ie HiPot)Adjust or replace defective or improperly functioning circuitry or electronics components, using hand tools or soldering ironPhysical Abilities:Manual dexterityLifting heavy (typically 40 lbs) itemsNear visionColor and brightness differentiation - The ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightnessWork Environment:Exposure to high voltageExposure to chemicalsExposure to LN2Moderate noise environmentEMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS* As a US Department of Defense Contractor, Astronics is bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Must be a US Person under ITAR to be eligible.* An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment background screen and drug test including screening for the use of cannabis.Salary is?$24.52 - $36.79 per hour.
