This role embeds Lean Manufacturing into daily operations, eliminates waste, and maximizes the use of space, equipment, and personnel.Core Responsibilities6S Program LeadershipDesign, implement, and sustain a plant-wide 6S programConduct baseline audits and establish visual standardsDevelop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly audit processesCreate and enforce clear 6S policies, checklists, and visual controlsWorkflow & Layout OptimizationMap current-state value streams and identify inefficienciesRedesign workstations and equipment layouts to improve flowSupport cellular manufacturing and reduce waste in motion, transport, and inventoryWaste Reduction & Continuous ImprovementLead Kaizen events focused on 6S waste elimination and value stream improvementsIdentify root causes and implement sustainable solutionsTrack and quantify cost savings and productivity improvementsTraining & Culture DevelopmentTrain and coach teams to adopt and sustain 6S practicesPromote a culture of accountability and continuous improvementDevelop dashboards and metrics to monitor performance and drive actionContinuous Improvement GovernanceMaintain a structured system for employee-driven improvement ideasFacilitate regular 6S reviews and performance discussionsRecognize and reinforce successful improvements to sustain engagementRequired Experience5+ years leading 5S/6S programs in large-scale manufacturing environmentsProven success redesigning plant layouts to support Lean flow and efficiencyExperience facilitating Value Stream Mapping workshopsBackground in CCA (Circuit Card Assembly) manufacturingExperience in cable and harness manufacturingPreferred QualificationsLean Six Sigma Black Belt (or equivalent certification)
