Construction Branch Manager

Job SummaryThe Construction Branch Manager is responsible for the overall success and day-to-day operations of the landscape construction branch business unit. This position is responsible for the financial success of the business unit and will participate in the development and management of annual operational budgets, strategic sales plans, customer relationship management and labor management and efficiency. The Construction Branch Manager should lead and empower his/her team to operate at their highest level to achieve all Branch success metrics including: Safety Quality Productivity Growth and Profitability This position reports to the Director of Landscape Construction and works closely with all departments of business to guarantee successful operations. Core ValuesCulture of Safety - Safety is always job #1 A Growing Tradition: Plants, Personally, Financially and Professionally Employee Owned - Personal Pride in Success with an Owners Mentality Exceptional Customer Experience - Delighting our Clients with our Products and Services Good Neighbors - Community Pride - Sharing our Success Respectability - Treating Others as we want to be treated Duties/Responsibilities Monitor safety, quality, and productivity on an ongoing basis Monitors, mentors, and leads branch team in order to balance company goals with employee satisfaction Foster a collaborative environment to enhance teamwork and problem-solving Interview, hire, supports recruiting, training and development of staff Models and enforces all company policies and procedures Oversees the daily workflow and operations of the branch support and management of all client accounts Responsible for total P&L ownership for the branch Ensure that jobs are completed according to contract and within budget Ensure branch staffing levels meet the needs of the business Provide support for irrigation system management when necessary Manage Aspire and other integrated software systems to maximize operational performance Responsible for employee recognition at all levels within the branch Conduct performance and compensation reviews in coordination with Human Resources Manage key relationships (vendors, clients, coworkers) to achieve sales, renewal and retention goals Work with the Executive Team to develop and establish the branch's annual budget Work with Fleet Team to ensure proper assets are acquired, utilized and maintained Work with Human Resources to address promotions, demotions, corrective actions, terminations, personnel staffing and training needs Requirements Required Skills/Abilities Proven leadership and management skills Effective sales, customer service, and interpersonal skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to prioritize tasks, delegating when appropriate Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software Education and Experience Bachelor's degree or commensurate work experience preferred A minimum of three years of management experience Physical Requirements Frequently required to drive for short to long distances Prolonged periods standing, walking, stretching, bending, climbing ladders, kneeling, and pulling Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time Must be physically able to operate power equipment Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions This Job Description is not a complete statement of all duties and responsibilities comprising the position.Job descriptions are not intended and do not create employment contracts.Salary Description$100,000-120,000.00 per year
