Information Security Analyst

Information Security AnalystWe are seeking an Information Security Analyst for a contingent resource assignment. The successful candidate will consult on and participate in moderately complex initiatives within Information Security. This role involves reviewing and analyzing security challenges, contributing to issue resolution, and collaborating with diverse teams while leveraging a solid understanding of security functions, policies, and compliance requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesContribute to large-scale planning related to Information Security Analysis deliverables.Review and analyze information security challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex security issues.Consult with team members to meet Information Security Analysis deliverables.Collaborate with client personnel and cross-functional teams, including application and business managers, architects, and engineering teams.Manage workflows, process and track tickets, and collaborate with teams using Jira.Analyze large datasets, develop reports, and create visualizations using advanced Excel functions.Required QualificationsExperience: 4+ years of Information Security Analysis experience, or an equivalent demonstrated through work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.Technical Skills:Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to analyze large datasets, develop reports, utilize advanced formulas, and create pivot tables and visualizations.Hands-on experience with Jira, including managing workflows, processing tickets, and tracking tasks.Professional Skills:Proven ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment across all levels.Preferred QualificationsExperience in the financial services industry.Experience with validating and maintaining information security controls in alignment with organizational policies.CompensationThe pay range for this position is $54.84/hour to $57.16/hour.EEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
