Job DescriptionDepot Support Technician Location: Memphis, TN (Fully Onsite) Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Assignment Dates: January 14, 2026 - January 15, 2027 Pay Rate: $26.00 per hour Employment Type: ContractPosition OverviewWheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Depot Support Technician to support daily depot operations at a client site in Memphis, TN. This fully onsite contract role plays a critical part in shipping, inventory management, and new-hire equipment preparation while ensuring depot processes are followed accurately and efficiently. The Depot Support Technician reports to the IT Manager of Support Services.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain adequate inventory of shipping and packing suppliesAssemble boxes and pack equipment for safe transportLabel and prepare boxes in accordance with standard depot proceduresShip equipment to new employees, including computers, monitors, and peripheralsTest monitors and image computers as neededTransport packed boxes for shipment (up to 20 lbs)Support daily depot operations and remain available on-site as requiredFollow all standard depot operating and shipping proceduresLearn and support the New-Hire Kit preparation processEscalate issues beyond scope to appropriate Tier 2 support resourcesTake ownership of assigned tasks from start through successful completionPerform additional duties as assigned Required Qualifications1-2 years of warehouse, depot, or equivalent work experience (or an equivalent combination of experience)Ability to lift up to 20 lbs consistentlyStrong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracyAbility to prioritize work based on production and department objectivesComfortable working in a supervised, fast-paced environmentWorking knowledge of packing tools, tape guns, and shipping materialsBasic understanding of shipping processes, practices, and procedures Skills & CompetenciesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong interpersonal and teamwork abilitiesCustomer service-oriented mindset with a professional demeanorAbility to follow processes and apply basic operational knowledgeDependable attendance and punctualityAbility to learn and retain technical and procedural informationDemonstrated accountability and ownership of work Physical RequirementsAbility to stand, move, and lift boxes weighing up to 20 lbsAbility to perform repetitive packing and labeling tasks Why Work with Wheeler Staffing PartnersThis role offers a stable, long-term contract opportunity with consistent hours and hands-on operational experience in a structured depot environment.
