In this role, you’ll work closely with a Team Lead to lead the appraisal process from start to finish — analyzing, interpreting, and reporting on a wide variety of commercial properties. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to develop their expertise and work toward professional designation in a supportive, collaborative setting. This is an in-office position with eventual possibility of some remote work opportunity, based on performance and tenure. Full benefits package is included with this position.What You’ll DoObtain an Appraiser Trainee license within 6 months of starting employment if you do not already have an active Trainee license.Prepare appraisals of commercial properties and land for bank lending, property tax appeal, eminent domain, and other purposesLead the appraisal process in collaboration with a Team LeadEvaluate properties to establish market values and property ratings using internal and external sourcesConduct property tours and interview market participantsManage various assignments, keeping multiple priorities on schedulePrepare clear, comprehensive reports that explain results and outline methods usedStay current with all relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in the appraisal industryWork toward obtaining Certified General licensureParticipate in weekly meetings with your Team Lead, biweekly Team Meetings and monthly company-widemeetings as well as training opportunitiesParticipate in industry events and organizations to develop relationships in the commercial real estate industryWhat You’ll BringMinimum one year experience in commercial real estate appraisal.Current driver’s licenseExcellent communication skills — you can explain complex data clearly and confidentlyAdvanced proficiency in MS Office; experience with ARGUS, CoStar, LoopNet, or similar platforms is a plusFamiliarity with current industry regulations, rules, and standardsSharp attention to detail, strong self-motivation, and the ability to work independentlyA desire to earn the MAI designation is preferred and encouragedNo visa sponsorship required.
