Secretary II/Food Service- Pine Ridge Prep
Reports To: Building AdministratorPosition Purpose: To assist with the usual office routines and practices associated with a busy, hectic, productive, and smoothly-run environment; works extensively in receiving, welcoming, referring, and communicating with parents, students, community members, and school district personnel.Perform duties and operations of the Food and Nutrition Services Program at Pine Ridge Prep as assigned.Qualifications:Typing and word processing skillsHigh School diploma or GEDAbility to operate office machinesBookkeeping and accounting skills in running school’s food service programAbility to work extensively with computer/word processor, excel, access, publisherAbility to handle pressure and stressSkill in working with the public in a positive mannerBasic math skillsAbility to read and write the English languageDemonstrate knowledge of food safety basicsAbility to lift 20-50 poundsAbility to stand up to 4 hoursKnowledge of portion sizesAbility to work with othersPhysical/Emotional Requirements: (The incumbent may be required to use the below requirements during any part of the working day.) Speaking, Hearing, Visual, Walking/Mobility, Consistency of temperament, Ability to work with a variety of people at the same time, Stamina for working in stress producing environments. Position may include stooping, kneeling and bending. Ability to sit/stand/move around at will.Performance Responsibilities:Manage telphone and messages (pleasant tone of voice, accuracy in messages and transfers, relate name of caller)Greet visitors – similar skillsManage daily attendance, including tardiesProduce breakfast and lunch count sheetsSubmit work ordersMaintain updated student class listsManage pony mail distribution and preparation for departureCopy as requestedAssist Building Leader as requestedAssist with enrollment as directed by Building LeaderAssist with CUM folders as requested by Building LeaderEnter new students/drops as requested by Building LeaderEnter student updates on mainframe and email staffKeep copy/printer paper suppliedEnter purchase requestsPreparation of food itemsPrepare food cartsServe foodClean and sanitize all food service areas and equipmentMaintain and order supplies as neededUnloading and putting away stockTake and document temperaturesWash dishes as neededOther duties as requested by Building Leader and PrincipalTerms of Employment:Full-time – 8 hrs – wage and work year to be determined by the Board of Education.Evaluation:Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the board policy on evaluation of Support Service PersonnelSignificant associations:The performance responsibilities are not limited to those outlined in this description and may include any other responsibilities as assigned by the administrator/supervisor
