Amergis Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to join the ICE Health Services Corps (IHSC) in Houston, TX. This is a long-term, full-time 1099 contract role within a federal detention facility, offering a unique opportunity to provide direct care and clinical leadership in a mission-driven environment.The physician will serve as the on-site medical authority, collaborating with a team of 7 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), and will be responsible for patient care, chart reviews, and clinical oversight.Key Responsibilities:Provide direct care to adult and pediatric patients.Conduct physical exams, manage chronic and acute conditions, and respond to emergencies.Supervise and collaborate with APPs and clinical staff.Review and approve referrals, labs, and patient documentation.Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff training.Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records.
