Responsibilities:
Process Control & Optimization
Monitor and maintain all stages of the anodizing line, including cleaning, etching, desmutting, anodizing, dyeing, and sealing.
Optimize process parameters such as temperature, voltage, current density, bath chemistry, and dwell times.
Analyze process data to identify trends and implement continuous improvements.
Chemical Management
Maintain proper chemical concentrations and balance in process tanks through regular testing and adjustments.
Develop and refine chemical treatment procedures to improve coating quality and consistency.
Coordinate with suppliers on chemical usage, replenishment, and waste treatment.
Quality Assurance
Ensure anodized coatings meet required specifications for thickness, corrosion resistance, color consistency, and adhesion.
Investigate defects (e.g., burning, streaking, uneven coating) and implement corrective actions.
Support audits and maintain documentation for quality standards (e.g., ISO, customer specifications).
Equipment & Maintenance Support
Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure proper functioning of rectifiers, pumps, filtration systems, and conveyors.
Assist in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues affecting the process line.
Recommend upgrades or modifications to improve system reliability and efficiency.
Required Knowledge and Experience
3-7 years of experience in a related job role or in chemical processing or surface finishing, preferably in aluminum anodizing
Bachelor's degree Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field with knowledge of technical subject matter
Or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described, including an internship in a relevant trade.
Preferred Knowledge and Experience:
Strong understanding of electrochemistry and metal finishing processes
