Datacenter Technician
Job Title: Traveling Field TechLocation (city, state): Florida, Wash DC, NYC/NJ/Providence, Chicago. -- would consider Bay Area (Oakland / Walnut Creek) or Dallas but not preferred as they already have people there and want to spread the team out across USTravel required (50%+; likely rotating every other week)When not traveling: hybrid onsite 3x per week to any office that is closest to themCompensation: Contract rate target $30-35/hr W2Conversion Salary: $60,000 - $70,000Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) upon conversion.Great entry-level opportunity to break into network operations with a global law firm. You’ll get hands-on experience across infrastructure projects, travel to different sites, and work alongside senior engineers while building toward more advanced networking (routing, SD-WAN).Specific Outcome This Position Will Produce:· Support network infrastructure across multiple office locations· Assist with switch configuration and deployment efforts· Contribute to a major Oakland data center upgrade· Help scale the Field Tech Ops team and reduce bandwidth constraintsTypical Day to Day:· Configure switch ports and support network setup activities in new offices across US· Travel to branch locations for onsite support (every other week rotation)· Assist with firmware and network upgrades· Support data center work (rack/stack, cabling, upgrades)· Troubleshoot connectivity issues and coordinate with ISPs when needed· Follow direction from senior engineers and escalate issues appropriatelyYears’ Experience: 0–3 years (true entry-level considered)· Degree or certs (Network+, etc.) are a plusAddison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
