A complete application package includes the following:ApplicationResumeCopy of CDE teaching licenseOfficial transcripts3 letters of recommendationCopy of PRAXIS/PLACE reportTeacher Insight scoreINCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS & RESUMES RECEIVED IN LIEU OF APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:M.A .or M.S. in Communication Disorders and Speech ScienceCandidates with endorsements in CLDE, Bilingual Ed, Foreign Language, and/or sheltered content or other English Language instructional training desiredASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence desirable or ability to obtain one (CFY supervision available)Possess a Colorado Special Services license in Speech-Language Pathology or obtain one prior to starting dateBe up to date on current identification, assessment, and treatment of communication disordersDemonstrate effective interpersonal skills and relationships with students, parents, staff members, and administratorsHas knowledge and experience of and/or willingness to gain knowledge of Competency-Based approachesEffective time management and organizational skillsExperience and/or skills working with culturally diverse populations desiredMust be able to read, write, and comprehend EnglishDemonstrated excellent communication skills (bilingual skills desired)JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Identifies students with communication disorders by completing communication assessments for referred studentsPlans instruction and interventions to support focused students with communication disorders in the Learner Centered ClassroomCollaborates with interventionist team and levels teachers regarding student's communication needsImplements a continuous system of progress monitoring and provide students with specific feedbackEstablishes an effective classroom management system for positive behavior supports when working with students individually, in small groups and/or in the classroom setting, per Board Policy and building regulationsFulfills contractual and professional responsibilitiesMember of IEP and Interventionist teamDevelopment of integrated IEP planning and interventions for student access and achievementSubmits required and accurate paperwork for IEP meetings and Medicaid billingProvides professional information (strategies) to support students, staff members, parents and administratorsDisplays a thorough knowledge of subject matter and District's prescribed curriculumPerforms other duties as assigned by supervisor or Executive Director of Integrated ServicesWestminster Public Schools is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
