Machinist

Machine Operator Location: Searcy, AR Shift: 1st Shift | 7:00 a.m. 3:30 p.m. Pay: $16.50 per hourJob Summary The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, calibrating, and operating CNC and production machinery to manufacture quality parts while meeting safety and production standards. This role requires hands-on machine operation, quality inspection, and basic troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities Machine Setup & OperationSet up, adjust, and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes) and/or automated production equipmentLoad raw materials and unload finished parts, including furnace loading/unloadingMonitor machine operations to ensure consistent quality and production outputQuality ControlPerform detailed inspections of finished parts using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gaugesIdentify defects or quality issues and take corrective action as neededMaintenance & TroubleshootingPerform minor troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on machineryReport equipment issues to maintenance or leadership when necessarySafety & ComplianceFollow all safety regulations, standard operating procedures, and work instructionsMaintain a clean, organized workspace in accordance with 5S standardsDocumentationComplete required production paperwork, reports, and tracking of part shortages accurately and on timeRequired Qualifications High school diploma or GEDExperience operating CNC machines or similar industrial production equipmentAbility to read and follow written instructions, safety procedures, and technical documentationBasic math skills, including fractions and decimals, for measuring partsAbility to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours) and perform physical/manual laborPreferred Skills & Experience Familiarity with hydraulic and electrical schematicsExperience with quality tools and processes such as PFMEA or SPCBasic knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsExposure to PLC functionalityIf this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
