Senior Principal Engineer II - Software Integration

**Job Description**We are looking to expand our team with a talented and energetic software engineer focused on delivering high-quality, software test infrastructure and software systems. This position supports a portfolio of tactical, systems. Technology areas include Test Automation, Embedded Linux, real-time embedded systems, containerization, C/C , Python, and Ruby, among others.The Engineering, Science and Analysis (ESA) Strategic Capabilities Unit comprises the technical talent and organizational leadership that enables the successful delivery of high-impact discriminating technologies for our customers missions. Our collaborative, cross-functional teams are committed to innovation, integrity, continual learning and strong execution.**What You ll Do:**+ Integrate software systems and work with team to validate implement designs.+ Support multiple types of software development including embedded, test, and application software for tactical systems.+ Perform full software life cycle functions including requirements, architecture, design, code, test, integration, documentation, and support.+ Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.+ Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.+ Perform other duties as necessary.**On-Site Work Environment:** This position requires regular in-person engagement by working **on-site five days** each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.**Working Conditions:**+ Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.+ May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.+ May access other facilities in various weather conditions.**Short-Term Incentive:** Subject to business performance and recommendations of management, this role may be eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**+ BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 10 or more years related experience.+ Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.+ A current, active Secret security clearance is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI.+ Experience with software test automation for products developed in C/C , Python, Rust or Ruby.+ Experience with Software development tools and environments, such as IDE s, version controls systems and CI/CD pipelines.+ Experience with Linux operating systems.+ Testing frameworks (gtest, test-driven development, hardware-in-the-loop).+ Understanding of and experience with deployment and operation of applications on Linux systems.+ Experience in developing test, simulation, or data processing applications in high-level languages such as Python, Ruby, or MATLAB.+ Experience with object-oriented design.+ Experience with some tactical mission domain.+ Excellent technical writing and team skills.\#LI-AP1**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**+ Experience developing, integrating, and testing low level or embedded software.+ Experience with real-time operating systems including embedded Linux, microcontrollers, or other RTOS.+ Experience with virtualization and containerization (Docker).+ Agile software development methodologies.+ Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence).+ Experience with requirements derivation.+ Experience generating UML Class, Sequence, and Activity diagrams.+ Experience using Cameo or PlantUML for Design.+ Experience designing/developing an SDR.+ DevSecOps.+ A working knowledge of Agile lifecycles and activities in each phase.+ Experience with formal software development practices including the use of software configuration management, coding standards, and style guides.**Pay Information**Full-Time Salary Range: $149603 - $254317Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
