Details Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week) Surgical inpatient unit (T7) within a hospital setting Cares for a complex post-operative surgical patient population Procedures include care for new tracheostomies, wound VAC management, complex wound care, and new ostomy management and education Works collaboratively with general surgical and oral/maxillofacial surgery (OMFS) residency services Epic EMR — experience required Requirements Active IL RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted) Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience Epic EMR experience required Level 1 Trauma experience required Associate's degree in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred Additional Information Performs post-operative assessments and implements individualized plans of care for complex surgical patients Monitors and manages newly placed tracheostomies Assesses and manages complex wounds including wound VAC therapy Educates patients and families on new ostomy care Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted RTO is not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at this health system for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any location within the health system American Traveler Job ID P-691186.
