Inside Sales Representative – Distribution Position Summary The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) – Distribution supports the distribution sales channel by managing pricing, order support, quote execution, and day-to-day distributor coordination. This role serves as a key inside partner to Distribution Regional Sales Managers and distributor customers, ensuring fast, accurate, and consistent commercial execution across high-volume transactions. The ISR plays a critical role in driving responsiveness, maintaining data accuracy, and supporting profitable growth through strong customer service and sales process discipline. Key Responsibilities Distribution Sales Support & Execution • Prepare and manage pricing, quotes, and order support for distributor accounts. • Support high-volume sales activity, replenishment requests, and routine transactions. • Coordinate pricing changes, promotions, and distributor program support. • Ensure accurate order processing, documentation, and follow-through. Distributor Relationship Support • Serve as the primary inside contact for assigned distributor accounts. • Respond promptly to distributor inquiries related to pricing, availability, and order status. • Support issue resolution related to orders, deliveries, credits, and documentation. • Help ensure distributors receive consistent, professional sales support. Cross-Functional Coordination • Partner closely with Distribution Regional Sales Managers to support account execution. • Coordinate with Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Operations to confirm inventory availability and lead times. • Collaborate with Pricing and Finance on pricing accuracy and compliance. CRM, Data & Reporting • Maintain accurate customer, quote, and order data in CRM and ERP systems. • Support pipeline visibility, sales reporting, and data accuracy. • Track distributor activity and support forecasting needs for distribution channels. Process Discipline & Continuous Improvement • Follow established sales, pricing, and approval processes. • Help identify opportunities to streamline distribution sales workflows. • Support sales programs, promotions, and go-to-market initiatives for distribution partners. Qualifications • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or related field (or equivalent experience). • 2–5 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or sales support. • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high transaction volumes. • Excellent communication and organizational skills. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP systems. Preferred • Experience supporting distribution or channel-based sales organizations. • Familiarity with pricing programs, rebates, or distributor agreements. • Exposure to manufacturing, construction materials, or industrial products. • Experience working closely with field sales teams.
