This is not a data engineer position.Job Description – Data Center Electrical Commissioning EngineerEmployment Type: Full-Time, ExemptTravel Requirement: 60–80%Position SummaryThe Electrical Commissioning Engineer is responsible for executing electrical commissioning activities on mission-critical data center projects under the direction of senior engineers, discipline leads, and project managers. This role focuses on safe execution, accurate documentation, and disciplined testing in alignment with the Anchor Mission Critical Playbook.Key Responsibilities- Execute electrical commissioning activities as assigned by Senior Engineers or Leads - Perform Pre-Functional Checks (PFCs), including L2/L3 readiness inspections - Execute Functional Performance Testing (FPT) per approved procedures - Support Integrated Systems Testing (IST), including power failure scenarios - Coordinate with contractors, OEMs, and controls teams during testing - Document test results, deficiencies, and corrective actions - Maintain accurate, timely commissioning documentationTechnical Competencies- Foundational understanding of electrical power distribution systems - Familiarity with UPS systems, generators, switchgear, and electrical equipment - Ability to read and interpret electrical one-lines and schematics - Understanding of basic redundancy and failure concepts - Willingness to learn commissioning processes and toolsEducation & Experience RequirementsRequired: - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience - 2–7 years of experience in electrical systems, construction, or commissioning Preferred: - Mission-critical or data center experience - Prior exposure to commissioning or testing activitiesCertifications (Preferred)- OSHA 10 or 30-Hour Construction Safety - Commissioning-related coursework or trainingPerformance Expectations- Safe, accurate execution of assigned testing activities - Complete and defensible commissioning documentation - Responsiveness to direction and feedback - Demonstrated technical growth and readiness for increased responsibilityCompensation & Benefits- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience - Performance-based bonus eligibility - Travel expenses and per diem per company policy - Benefits eligibility per company plansSalary Range$95,000 – $123,000 This range reflects nominal experience of 2–7 years in electrical commissioning or related fields.
