Inside Sales & Customer Service

POSITION SUMMARY: This position is a key supporting role that is responsible for working with distributors and industrial and commercial laundries, providing sales quotes and shipment information, and entering sales orders daily. We expect you to build and maintain customer relationships by being both a positive expression of our company’s values and as an internal voice for our customers’ needs and concerns. Sales is a combination of responding to phone, website, and email orders, while also proactively expanding sales within current customers and their contacts. Regular and consistent attendance is required and considered an essential function of this position. JOB TYPE & COMPENSATION Full-time in Office, Monday -Friday Pay: $27-29/hour with year-end bonus potential ESSENTIAL DUTIES: This position is responsible for: Working with customers providing sales quotes and shipment information. Responding to inquiries requiring prompt and accurate product information related to pricing, product features, and delivery. Using the company’s Customer Relationship Management System (CRM) to follow up on quotes and projects proactively. Updating and creating formal sales quotes in the system. Entering sales orders daily. Providing exceptional customer service to customers. Responding to customer requests to return merchandise by completing the initial RMA paperwork and sending instructions and shipping labels to the customer. Backing up other inside sales representatives on the telephone, with order entry, etc. Regular and consistent attendance is an essential function of this position. JOB KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS: Knowledge of general sales practices. Strong organizational skills and experience using those skills in the workplace. Must have solid customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to type and accurately complete data entry tasks. Proficient data entry skills. Ability to learn and be familiar with the company's overall product line, pricing practices, and relevant aspects of the industry. Ability to use various computer software systems, including basic email (Outlook), Microsoft Teams and the company’s CRM and ERP systems. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. The ability to multi-task & work well under pressure. Ability to assess a situation, draw a valid conclusion, and make sound recommendations. Ability to work well independently and as a team. Strong customer service skills and 1-3 years of previous experience using those skills in the workplace. 3 - 4 years of data entry experience. Proficient (and previous working-related experience) using all Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams). Previous experience using an ERP (Sage 100) or a similar computer system requiring data entry. Previous experience using a CRM System is a plus. Proven experience working cohesively with a team to complete a task or project is required. Proven experience working efficiently on an independent basis with minimal supervision. Previous experience in the parts sales segment (auto, plumbing etc.) is a plus. A sales, marketing, or business degree is a plus.
