Calibration Engineer - Engine
Calibration EngineerWhat you will be doing:Calibration of engine controls for North America and global markets.Complete engine calibration in accordance with procedures to meet regulations and other performance targets (emission, fuel economy, power, drivability and OBD).Prepare and manage calibration and resource schedule to meet development deadlines.Test preparation, data collection, data analysis, and technical report creation on a regular basis.Build successful relationships with calibration technician group.Conduct vehicle testing and development under extreme environmental conditions (hot, cold, high altitude).Complete required internal training necessary for job execution (Technical, Driving, etc.). Perform software logic and value confirmation activities.What you'll need to be successful:A Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Mechanical, Electrical or other related Engineering disciplineExperience in engine calibration (1+ years)Excellent driving recordThorough understanding of internal combustion engine theory/practiceProficiency in MS OfficeExperience investigating technical issues and creating effective technical solutionsEmission, bench, drivability or OBD calibration experience in conventional and/or hybrid powertrainExperience calibrating engine controls for markets other than the US (Japan, Europe, China, etc.)Experience with Model-Based Design or Calibration processesExperience with other programming languages such as Python, VBA, etc.Proficiency in project management toolsProficiency in MATLAB/Simulink/C/C++ programming languagesExperience working in a culturally diverse environmentUnderstanding of Emission and OBD regulations for US and other marketsWhat you'll get:Full benefits: medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA401 K with a match and immediate vestingShort-term & Long-term disability, life insurance and other optional benefitsEmployee Assistance ProgramEmployee DiscountsOngoing professional development opportunities including Technical Training and Leadership DevelopmentThe opportunity to work on industry leading projects
