Full Stack Platform Developer
Department: Engineering / IT OperationsReports To: Director of Software Engineering & CTOAcceliot builds edge-native and cloud platforms that enable real-time visibility and intelligence across physical environments. Our technology operates at the intersection of hardware, networking, and software to deliver reliable, production-grade systems deployed at customer sites worldwide.This role will work across two core platforms:AEP (Acceliot Edge Platform) – our distributed edge compute and hardware orchestration platformAVP (Acceliot Visibility Platform) – our asset tracking cloud platformJob Description:We are seeking a Full Stack Platform Developer to help design, build, and maintain the backend services and platform components that power AEP and AVP. This role is primarily backend-focused, with some full-stack responsibilities related to internal tools, APIs, and platform interfaces.You will contribute to scalable, reliable systems that run on both edge devices and centralized infrastructure, supporting real-world asset-tracking and visibility use cases.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain backend services for AEP and AVPBuild APIs that support edge devices, platform services, and customer-facing applicationsDevelop platform components for device management, data ingestion, processing, and orchestrationSupport distributed systems deployed on Linux-based edge hardwareImprove system reliability, performance, monitoring, and observabilityCollaborate with product and engineering teams on architecture and feature designContribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and operational toolingQualifications:5+ years of professional software development experienceStrong experience building backend or platform servicesProficiency with tools like Git and GradleExperience with Kafka, MySQL, and MongoExperience designing and consuming RESTful APIsSolid understanding of Linux-based systems in production environmentsExperience working with relational and/or NoSQL databasesStrong problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and a willingness to learn new disciplinesPreferred Qualifications:Experience with distributed systems or edge computing platformsFamiliarity with asset tracking, IoT, or real-time data systemsExperience with Docker and containerized deploymentsExposure to DevOps or site reliability practicesExperience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure hosting environmentsFrontend experience with React and Ant DesignExperience with AI agentsExperience with data visualization, graphical mapping, and analyticsWhy Join Acceliot?You'll play a foundational role in shaping the operational backbone of Acceliot's edge and cloud platforms.
