The Administrative Laboratory Director provides executive oversight across multiple service lines, ensuring regulatory excellence, operational efficiency, financial stewardship, and high-quality patient outcomes. Scope of Oversight Blood Center, Specimen Receiving & Processing, Clinical Laboratory, Microbiology, Histology, Ambulatory Point of Care, Outpatient Laboratory Customer Service, and Laboratory Courier Services. Key Responsibilities Provide executive leadership across all Regional Laboratory operationsPartner with system and medical leadership to define and execute long-range strategyDrive quality, compliance, financial performance, and growth initiativesEnsure compliance with CLIA, Florida regulations, AABB, FDA, CAP, and organizational standardsLead workforce planning, resource allocation, and operational optimizationFoster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and service excellenceQualifications Bachelor's degree required; MHA, MBA, or related advanced degree preferredMinimum 5 years of progressive senior leadership experience in clinical laboratory operationsExperience overseeing complex, multi-service laboratory environments (Histology/Pathology preferred)Active Florida Clinical Laboratory Supervisor license requiredProven success in regulatory compliance, financial oversight, and performance improvementStrong executive presence, analytical expertise, and team-building capabilitiesAbout Lee Health Lee Health is one of Florida's largest nonprofit health systems, serving more than 1 million patient contacts annually.
