Job Title: Facilities Maintenance & Engineering ManagerLocation: Conway, SC (Onsite)Type: Direct HireSalary: $130,000–$150,000 DOE plus relocation and excellent benefitsBonus & Relocation: EligibleAvailability Requirement:Must be available 24/7 as needed, by phone and/or onsite.Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance & Engineering Manager with a strong engineering and PLC controls/automation background to lead plant maintenance, reliability, and automation initiatives at a growing manufacturing operation.This role is critical to ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all plant, process, and utility systems, while driving long-term reliability, productivity, and capacity improvements. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader who can balance strategy, execution, and team development in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance & Reliability LeadershipEnsure safe, reliable operation and maintenance of all plant and process equipmentSet goals, track performance, and continuously improve equipment reliability to meet plant and business objectivesManage preventive, predictive, and proactive maintenance programsOversee spare parts management and maintenance planningEnsure reliable and economical supply of utilities and gasesDevelop and manage departmental budgets to achieve productivity and cost targetsEngineering, Controls & AutomationProvide technical expertise and supervision of process control and PLC programmingPerform maintenance and support of existing automation systems, including software backupsTest and validate control logic and system performanceDevelop, modify, and document control programs to accepted standardsDetermine hardware and software requirements for continued operational effectivenessDesign control panels, layouts, wiring schematics, and bills of materialsDevelop computer programs to assist in troubleshooting and calibrating automation hardwareDevelop training modules to support maintenance troubleshooting of process equipmentProjects, Capital & GrowthInterface with Engineering to ensure safe, cost-effective, and reliable project executionWrite, manage, and execute capital projects, coordinating contractors and internal teamsSupport productivity improvements and plant capacity expansion initiativesDevelop new business proposals tied to operational capability and growthCompliance, Systems & DocumentationEnsure compliance with all local, state, federal, corporate, and safety regulationsMaintain integrity of drawings, specifications, programs, inspection records, and documentationSupport all ISO system requirementsDevelop and expand usage of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)People LeadershipIdentify, develop, and implement training programs aligned with plant goalsRecognize and reward outstanding performanceLead and support maintenance technicians and engineersIntegrate maintenance into cross-functional work teamsKey Success Factors (First 6–18 Months)Analyze current systems and develop a strategy for future growthImplement control system improvements to increase plant capacity and productivityImprove plant availability and equipment uptimeDevelop and implement formal maintenance planning and scheduling processesEstablish and execute reliability programs to achieve plant targetsPartner with IT to develop databases for improved process capability and insightQualifications & SkillsProficiency in PLC programming (Allen Bradley & GE Fanuc) REQUIREDHMI programming and configuration (Wonderware, Rockwell Software)Working knowledge of Oracle databasesStrong understanding of industrial instrumentation, process control theory, and computer systemsFirm grasp of electrical engineering practicesExperience with motors, drives, and field devicesAbility to analyze technical and process-related dataExperience reading and red-lining P&ID drawingsProven maintenance leadership and team management skillsExcellent organizational, planning, and communication abilitiesSelf-motivated, goal-oriented leader with strong technical judgmentExperience & EducationBS Degree in Electrical Engineering or Process Engineering REQUIREDLadder logic programming experience related to process automation and control5+ years of manufacturing experience, including leadership of maintenance technicians and engineersCompensation & BenefitsBenefits begin Day 1 and include:Medical, Dental, Vision401(k) with company match up to 8% after one yearLife Insurance & AD&D2 Weeks Vacation4 Personal Days9 Paid HolidaysBonus EligibilityCareer Advancement OpportunitiesAbout UsFounded in 2010, Top Prospect Group specializes in connecting high-quality candidates with top-tier clients.
