Job DescriptionNSF is a globally recognized organization for public health standards. We conduct testing, auditing, and certification, supported by accredited labs. Additionally, we provide top-tier consulting and training for brands and businesses. We are looking to expand our team by adding an APSCA Certified Independent Contractor and SMETA Auditor, specifically located on the West Coast.ResponsibilitiesConduct Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit inspections and audits Schedule designated inspections and auditsDevelop effective work plans to complete assigned inspections and audits within a specified timeframeSummarize and evaluate inspection and audit findingsCommunicate findings and results of inspections and audits with client site management or appropriate client representativesEnsure that the audit inspection results are reported on time in accordance with the scheme requirements, along with travel expensesMaintain effective communication with key team members, including audit delivery, and client teamsRepresent NSF with the designated clientsPerform other assignments as neededQualifications4-year college degree is required Minimum two (2) years of experience in social compliance auditingAPSCA Registered Auditor (RA) or Certified Social Compliance Auditor (CSCA) requiredRegistered by the Association for Professional Social Compliance Auditors (APSCA) passing all 3 parts of the APSCA examsLead Social Compliance Auditor trainingExperience with CSR, SA 8000, SMETA or similar standardsEffective problem-solving skillsExcellent Customer Service and results oriented Highest level of personal and professional integrity and ethicsStrong business acumenPossession of a valid driver’s licenseAccess to a computer with MS Windows operating system and a personal mobile phoneProficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, reporting, and analysis toolsMust have a registered business LLCAbility to handle sensitive and confidential informationStrong communication skills, both written and verbalPreferred But Not Required ExperienceBe an approved auditor for GFSI schemesExperience with food safety standardsPay Range: $850 per day, along with compensation for report writing hours.
