Job OpportunityCompany Name: ASTEMO AMERICAS, INC.Job FamilyEngineeringJob DescriptionTeam: Corporate Advanced Production EngineeringSupporting: All SDV Business Unit Americas Region manufacturing sites.Primary responsibilities include investigating and developing new assembly processes, driving cost and efficiency improvements, and supporting the installation and commissioning of new equipment at manufacturing sites. The role works closely with site Process Engineering (PE) teams and Cross-Functional Teams (CFT) to ensure a smooth, zero-defect (0 PPM) product launch.Secondary responsibilities include preparing equipment and standard time (ST) quotations for new business opportunities, developing cost-effective and flexible assembly processes for low-volume and build-to-print products, and collaborating with Design Engineering (DE) to establish and maintain process Value Engineering/Validation (VEC) standards for both current and future products.QualificationsRequired:Problem solving and troubleshooting skills.Possess strong initiative to complete project tasks on-time and in-budget.Possess strong communication skills to effectively communicate with cross functional teams.Possess strong time management skills to simultaneously manage multiple projects.Ability to manage projects in a team environment.Beneficial:SolidWorks 3-D CAD modeling (or other CAD systems) experienceProgramming capability (PLC/GLC, C++, VB, SQL, etc.)Experience with Surface Mount TechnologyVision systems (Keyence, Cognex)Experience with Process DesignExperience with robotic applicationsEducation: BS degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics or other engineering technology.Experience: 7+ years of engineering experience in automotive/manufacturing environmentJob level determined by various factors such as organization size, responsibility, career stage, and capabilities.Supervisory Responsibilities: n/aWorking conditions:Physical Demands: Required to sit or stand for long periods of time.
