DescriptionOverviewWe are seeking a highly organized and technically strong Quality Engineer to serve as a primary customer facing contact supporting OEM quality issues and resolution activities. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, can manage multiple issues simultaneously, and communicates effectively across customer and internal teams.Quality Engineer will lead initial customer communication, coordinate cross-functional internal responses, and drive timely problem resolution. This role requires strong multitasking ability, technical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to translate complex technical findings into clear customer-facing communication.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a primary quality contact for OEM customers regarding product and process quality issuesManage multiple active quality issues simultaneously and maintain clear status tracking and follow-upLead customer response and ongoing written and verbal communicationCoordinate cross-functional teams (manufacturing, engineering, supplier quality, operations) to investigate and resolve issuesLead and support containment, root cause analysis, and corrective action activitiesDevelop and deliver structured technical reports (8D or equivalent) including root cause and corrective action validationInterpret and explain technical findings clearly to customers and stakeholdersConduct shop floor investigations with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot defectsSupport and drive change management activities including process/product changes and customer approvalsSupport PPAP submissions and customer change approvals as requiredReview and update Control Plans, PFMEAs, and related quality documentation tied to corrective actions and changesTrack corrective actions to closure and verify effectivenessSupport continuous improvement and defect reduction initiativesRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical preferred, others considered)Strong multitasking and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple open issuesProven troubleshooting and structured problem-solving abilityExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong customer-service mindset and professional presencePreferred QualificationsExperience in automotive quality environmentsExperience with electronics products or manufacturingAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawingsWorking knowledge of automotive quality systems and tools, including:IATF / AIAG core toolsPPAPPFMEA/Control Plans8D problem solvingChange Management processesExperience working directly with OEM customers
