Job Title: Construction SuperintendentJob DescriptionA Construction Superintendent acts as the lead on-site manager, responsible for supervising daily field operations, enforcing safety protocols, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining project schedules and budgets. They serve as the primary link between project management, owners, and field crews, ensuring quality compliance from groundbreaking to final inspection.ResponsibilitiesOversee all on-site activities, including managing field personnel, subcontractors, and material deliveries.Develop and implement the master construction schedule and 3-week 'look ahead' schedules to ensure timely project completion.Implement and enforce company safety policies and OSHA standards, ensuring a safe, clean, and organized job site.Ensure work complies with blueprints, building codes, and contract specifications.Resolve on-site emergencies, design conflicts, and logistical challenges.Maintain daily log reports, project photos, and documentation of materials used and costs.Essential SkillsProven experience as a construction superintendent, foreman, or similar role in residential, commercial, or industrial construction.Strong leadership skills to direct, motivate, and manage subcontractors and crew members.Deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment.Excellent communication skills to interact with owners, inspectors, and project teams.Experience with interior renovation and ground-up projects.Proficiency in Procore or similar construction management software.Additional Skills & Qualifications5-10 years of experience as a General Contractor Superintendent in commercial construction.5+ years in the construction industry with a proven track record progressing from Assistant Superintendent to Superintendent role.Experience in client-facing roles and potential industry contacts is a plus.Ability to train and develop team members.Willingness to handle hands-on tasks and resolve on-site issues.Tech-savvy with proficiency in using laptops and iPads on-site.Preferred experience managing projects valued between $1 to $5 million.Work EnvironmentThis role is 100% on-site with occasional office visits for meetings. The construction environment is fast-paced, deadline-oriented, and requires a high level of ownership for errors. The company culture emphasizes collaboration and teamwork, ensuring that deadlines are met efficiently with high-quality work.
